The Dragon wildlife
The end of January began with a new project from leftovers. Anthony found a gorgeous little pattern for a dragon, which I instantly was inspired by and fell in love with.
Rummaged through the yarn box and remembered that I had leftover Ubuntu yarn which wasn’t enough for any larger projects and would be a shame to waste. So the Ubuntu dragon was born. So far he has a very cute little head.
I had a go at teaching my niece to knit.
She has picked it up quite well. Looking forward to seeing her little bag finished from the set of knitting kit I bought her for Christmas!
I then had a little weekend away in York for my best friends special birthday. Loved the wildlife.
Saw lots of beautiful birds including this Bullfinch.
A pretty little robin.
A sneaky squirrel.
A hungry nuthatch.
Spent plenty of time being Snow White and taking photos. Loved watching Floyd jump about in the snow on the forest paths.
Enjoyed a few refreshments and had a lovely relaxing time.
Even found a little moment or two for a spot of morning crochet on our Sophie’s Universe which is slowly growing. A little behind the rest of the group now with this.
I am in love with it though and how it’s working up in my chosen colours of stonewashed and river washed Scheepjes.
Anthony is a little further on than me with both his Sophie’s and they both look outstandingly beautiful. He added a bit more on his birthday whilst he was off work.
They are both stunning!
Looking forward to seeing everyone at our Warton group today (Saturday 9th February) where our younger attendees will begin their little Unicorn.
Very excited to see how they get on!
Looking forward to finishing my dragon and starting a very cute Scheepjes bear 🐻 next...
